Halal Beef Sausage pasta in a tomato garlic sauce
Do you ever just find yourself wanting something warm and comforting for dinner without the fuss? I bring to you my Halal Beef Sausage Pasta in a rich Garlic Tomato Sauce.
This sauce took me 15 minutes to make, and in the meantime I put my sausages in the air fryer, boiled my pasta and et voila!
I did in fact smother this Pasta with Parmesan and indulged myself in a massive bowl while binge watching Netflix, it was great.
So, for the ingredients, you need:
- 5 Saffron Alley Halal Fresh Beef Sausages
- 3 Garlic Cloves finely chopped
- One Jar of Passata (any brand is fine, or you can substitute for a can of crushed tomatoes)
- Pasta (any to your liking)
- 1 tsp Chili flakes
- 1 pinch Cumin
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp Italian Herbs
- A handful of spinach, frozen or fresh
- Organic Olive Oil
- Parmesan
- Cheddar Cheese (grated)
- Milk or Cream
Recipe:
- Slightly sauté your garlic, cumin and chili flakes in olive oil for a few minutes until light golden brown.
- Start boiling your pasta in salty water for the recommended time
- Add in your Passata, Italian herbs and salt and let your sauce simmer on high to medium heat for 10 minutes.
- In the meantime put your sausages in the air fryer for 20 minutes.
- Now add in your spinach, grated cheddar and milk into your sauce, turn the heat down to low heat and slowly stir your sauce for 5 minutes.
- After your sausages have been cooking for ten minutes, take them out and cut them into small pieces, and put them back into the air fryer for the remaining ten minutes to crisp up.
- Once your sausages are cooked, put them in your sauce along with the juice.
- Let it simmer for a few more minutes and add a splash of pasta water
- Add in your cooked pasta
- Finally, sprinkle your parmesan and ENJOY!
