We all love a Sunday roast, but how about we add some spice to it! Infused with Pakistani spices and British butter, we have our very own fusion of a British Pakistani dish! If you want to recreate this, scroll down for the recipe and a chance to WIN a free HALAL ORGANIC CHICKEN!
This dish is PERFECT for a dinner with friends or family, or simply for one (bulking on that protein). But seriously though, you HAVE to try making this, I make it for my family all the time and they love it, no leftovers here, and plus Halal Organic Chicken is the way to go if you're going to make a roast!
Now lets get to it!
Ingredients:
- 1 Halal Organically reared Chicken
- 3 garlic cloves crushed🧄
- Salt 1/4 tsp🧂
- Garlic Powder
- Olive Oil 3-4 tbsp
- Smoked Paprika 1/4 tsp
- Ground Cumin 1/2 tsp
- Chilli Flakes 1/2 tsp
- Soy Sauce (a splash)
- Chilli Powder 1/4 tsp🌶️
- Turmeric 1/4 tsp
- Whole Cumin Seeds 1/4 tsp
- Butter 50g🧈
- Black pepper
- Lemon 1/4 juiced🍋
- Baby potatoes🥔
- Carrots🥕
- Tender stem Broccoli🥦
Recipe:
- Let your butter soften in room temperate.
- Preheat your oven to 220C/450F.
- Once the butter is softened, add in your crushed garlic, and all the spices listed above, as well as your salt, lemon juice and a splash of soy sauce and mix it all into the butter to create a paste.
- Generously spread the butter over the organic chicken as well as under the skin.
- Again, season the outside of the organic chicken with some salt and crushed black pepper.
- Place your chicken in the oven for 10 minutes at 220C/450F, then 1 hr 15 minutes at 180C/350F until juices run clear.
- Firstly cut your carrots into long strips.
- Simply parboil your potatoes and carrots for about 15 minutes in some salted boiling water.
- Drain and set aside and prepare your tender stem broccoli just by slightly trimming the ends off.
- Lay everything onto a baking tray and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, a drizzle of olive oil and some smoked paprika.
- Place in the oven for 45 minutes on 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
