Halal Flying Dutchman Burger Anyone?

I know we've all seen those TIKTOKS of the Flying Dutchman Burgers, why not make it at home? I mean we don't have IN and OUT in the UK, and if we did I'm not quite sure it would be HALAL. 

Get your Halal Smashed Burger Balls now or you can use our Angus Smashed Burger Balls, we have all the options, and the recipes. A secret sauce you can use which now isn't much of a secret. Try using our Soft Brioche Buns if you're not a fan of protein style burgers, or switch the buns out for grilled onions, and bam, you've got yourself a Halal Smashed Burger.

Now the question is, are you ready for the feast?

Here's the recipe!

Ingredients: For the Burgers

  1. Halal Smashed Burger Balls/ Halal 3oz Angus Smash Burger Balls
  2.  Soft Brioche Buns
  3. One whole Onion, chopped into rings
  4. Salt and Pepper
  5. Garlic Powder
  6. Large Tomato (optional)
  7. Shredded Lettuce (optional)
  8. American Cheese Slice

For the Sauce:
  1. 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
  2. 3 tbsp Ketchup
  3. 1 tsp Yellow mustard
  4. 1/tsp Sugar
  5. 1/2 tsp Salt
  6. 2 tbsp chopped pickles
  7. 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  8. 1 tsp White Vinegar

    For the sauce:

    1. Simply mix your Mayonnaise, Ketchup, Mustard, Sugar, Salt, Worcestershire Sauce, Pickles and White Vinegar together in one bowl. 

    Now for the cooking: 

    1. Grill your onions on a hot and oiled grill or pan until caramelised, add your slice of American cheese, let it melt and remove the onions.
    2. Season your smashed burger balls on each side with salt, pepper and garlic powder. 
    3. Now throw those burger balls on your grill or a non stick frying pan on medium to high heat, let each side cook through for a couple of minutes 
    4. Now remove the burgers once cooked and let them rest for a few minutes. 
    5. You can add your sliced tomatoes and shredded lettuce to your patties once you start layering them up. 
    6. If you don't want a protein style burger, simply toast your buns slightly, add the special sauce, and layer your burger. 
    7. It should be onion with cheese at the end of each layer and between the two patties, add your tomatoes and lettuce, and there you have it.
